Who we are

Mission, vision & values

Roots Academy is the trading name of SafeRoots Learning Nigeria Limited (RC 9719494), a registered Nigerian company delivering structured, self-paced primary education for Primary 1–6.

Our mission

To give every Nigerian child access to a complete, structured and safeguarded primary education — delivered on the phone the family already owns, at a pace the child can actually keep.

Our vision

A Nigeria where no child's education stops because of distance, cost, illness, relocation or the shortage of a good school nearby.

Our values

Child first
Every decision is judged by what it does for the child's learning, safety and dignity — not by what is easiest to run.
Structure over improvisation
A full curriculum mapped to Nigerian national learning outcomes, sequenced week by week across Primary 1–6, so nothing is left to chance.
Safeguarding by design
Named staff, monitored channels, no private adult–pupil messaging, consent-based recording and clear reporting routes — built in, not bolted on.
Access without compromise
Low-bandwidth delivery, offline-friendly tasks and honest pricing so families are not priced or bandwidth-locked out of good teaching.
Rooted identity
Nigerian languages, history, culture and heritage sit inside the core programme, not at the edges of it.
Honest reporting
Marks, feedback and termly reports reflect what the child actually did. We do not inflate progress to please anyone.

What we promise

To pupils
A lesson every school day, work that is marked and returned with feedback, and an adult who knows your name.
To parents
Clear weekly visibility of what your child studied, submitted and scored — plus a named facilitator you can reach.
To sponsors & partners
Transparent enrolment and progress data, safeguarding-compliant delivery, and a registered Nigerian entity accountable for every naira of support.
To staff
Defined roles, training expectations, supervision and a code of conduct that protects both children and colleagues.

How we hold ourselves to it

Delivery is overseen by our Director & School Head, who is TRCN registered with qualifications verified on 29 July 2026. Safeguarding, data protection and retention practices are set out on our trust & privacy page, and enrichment activities follow the published rules on our clubs & societies page.
